The Witmer

I always come back to this neighborhood because of how safe it is and have lived in several buildings; the Witmer is for sure in my top two and somewhere I’d live again if I move back to the area. The building is clean and the staff is just exceptional, never had any issues with noise and by far some of the best neighbors I’ve had. Trash shoots are well managed, the cleaning staff is AMAZING. Also, appreciate that they pay close attention to the overall scent and that the building’s signature scent is throughout even in the gym. The monthly events calendar and community events is a great perk for those that are new to the DC area. The only con was the AI algorithm that buildings in the area now use that make people jump around because of how it inflates things. Annette is a gem though and I will definitely miss her!

I extend my gratitude to Witmer Resident Manager Antoine Hehong for his exceptional assistance in promptly resolving a parking issue. Antoine's transparent communication alleviated my concerns, and his proactive approach not only efficiently coordinated the removal of an unauthorized vehicle but also implemented preventive measures for resident satisfaction. I value his commitment to resident well-being. Witmer is fortunate to have Antoine, a manager who prioritizes effective communication and delivers excellent service. The living environment is outstanding, featuring continuous additions of fresh flowers, festive Christmas decorations, and weekly events. This creates a delightful and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that enhances the overall living experience at Witmer.

The Witmer sets an extraordinary standard of service for its residents. Simply I cannot imagine finding better, more prompt, more cordial and professional staff. Especially, Antoinette Long, the resident experience manager, is truly an asset for the building. She does a great job, super professional and responsible. Also, her warm-hearted and friendly smile always makes residents feel very welcomed:)

Living in this building has been a test of patience and tolerance. The most glaring issue is the relentless noise from the air vents. It's like living in a constant state of low-grade industrial hum, disrupting sleep and peace. The state of the lobby and common spaces further adds to the disappointment. A lack of cleanliness in these areas gives off a neglected vibe, which is not what one expects when paying a premium rent. Navigating the building itself feels like a journey through a dimly-lit labyrinth. The dark hallways not only lack in aesthetic appeal but also raise concerns about safety and comfort. Another point of frustration is the low shower pressure. It's a daily reminder that despite the high cost, basic amenities aren't up to mark. This, combined with occasional water damage incidents, shows a lack of proper maintenance. But perhaps the most disheartening aspect is the building staff. Their robotic, arrogant, and impersonal approach leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service. It's as if tenant satisfaction is the least of their concerns. Considering the size of the building and the amenities offered, the rent of $3,000 feels exorbitant and unjustifiable. It's an aberration in term of value for money, and one can't help but feel overcharged for the quality of life offered here. This building, while promising on the surface, fails to deliver on many fronts. From noise issues to poor service, it's a living situation that tests your limits, making the high rent feel like a poor investment.

I haven’t been through rent negotiations yet, but while I’ve been here so far so great. Maintenance staff is very responsive. They do frequent unit maintenance like filters, dryers, etc. The front desk staff is my favorite. They are always so inviting and don’t hesitate to answer questions and are genuinely friendly. The pet of the week is so good too 🐶. The events and event coordinator are extraordinary! Update: they also send birthday cards to residents! It’s the little things that count.
